Sector de Energías renovables en México
Hasta 2013, México contaba con una capacidad efectiva instalada para la generación de energía eléctrica de 64,690 MW, de los cuáles 14,891 MW provinieron de fuentes renovables de energía (eólica, solar, hidráulica, geotérmica y de biomasa), lo que representa el 23% del total de la capacidad instalada, de acuerdo con estimaciones de ProMéxico con datos de la Comisión Reguladora de Energía (CRE) y la Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE).
The country currently has 246 plants in operation and construction for the generation of electricity through renewable sources; Oaxaca and Veracruz are the states with the largest number of wind farms and biomass, respectively.
The CRE has granted 234 licenses to date for the generation of electricity through renewable sources, totaling 7,827 MW of installed capacity (23% of total authorized capacity permittees CRE), of which 31% is already in operation and the remaining is projected to be operational in the next three years.
